Massie Lodge Nursery

Here at Massie Lodge we specialise in the agistment and care of mares in foal and at foot.   We pride ourselves in our level of care of our mares, of your mares.  Specialised facilities ensure that our girls get top of the line attention during this important event.  Our veterinarian is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our mares have 30 acres to roam and freely graze and they have their own sand pit and dam where they can go for a swim, or get down and have a good roll and relieve their tight stomachs during pregnancy. As their pregnancies progress, they are rotated closer to the homestead. 24 hour Mare watch is part of the service - each mare is carefully supervised during this important time.

Weaning

Goes hand and hand with birthing.  Massie Lodge has safe facilities to ensure that neither mum nor bubs can come to any harm during this emotional process.  Our weanlings are taught as a minimum to wear a halter, lead and to get used to picking up their feet.

Yearlings

Safe paddocks to let yearlings take their time to grow up and mature means peace of mind for your investment. During this important time, our yearling's education continues.
