There comes a time in every Thoroughbred's life when they have to leave their trainer's box, either through age or weariness, the time comes when they have to go out into the wide world in search of a new career or paddock that will be their new home.  After all there is life after racing!

Sometimes due to injury, careers are cut short. At Massie Lodge we have the facilities to care for your thoroughbred that needs some rehabilitation prior to being let down in the paddock and just being a horse.

Sometimes you don't want to let go of your friend just because they have finished their racing career.  Everyone wants their mate to have somewhere safe and secure to live the rest of their life. Somewhere where they will be loved and cared for.

We also understand that some of the retirees are just too young to be sitting in the paddock and need to have a new life, doing something different.   Through Gallopers Australiawide Bloodstock we offer a unique service where we can find good homes for the next stage in your retired Galloper's life and it is our aim to find your retiree a good, caring home.
